I Voted – 10/31/14

Okay, I haven’t voted  yet, but I plan on hitting those polls on Tuesday and exercising that right to elect.

Countless people have given their lives for our freedom; not voting does each of them a great dishonor. Use this cool tool and get out there. If not for yourself, then for everyone else who doesn’t get a voice. Thank you.

One Lovely Blog Nomination

One Lovely Blog Award

Greetings Loyal Followers,

I received a nomination from an up-an-coming blogger named Dottie Daniels, author of The Write Perspective, who you can check out over at http://dottiedaniels.wordpress.com/

I am excited to receive this award, I have seen others get them but this is the first for me. It’s taking me a while to carve out the time to work on this project between my job and watching the seasons of Once Upon a Time. Enough about this, on with the show!

Here are the rules if I’ve nominated you:

  1. Thank and link back to the person who nominated you
  2. List the rules and display the award
  3. Include seven facts about yourself
  4. Nominate 10-15 other bloggers and let them know about the award by commenting on their blog
  5. Follow the blogger who nominated you (if you don’t already)

Seven Facts About Me:

  1. I am 36 years old, but I don’t feel like it
  2. I cook for a living, but it is not my passion
  3. I am a Christian, but I am not religious
  4. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, but not on a regular basis
  5. I play the guitar, but not very well
  6. I enjoy riding my Motorcycle, but don’t get to often enough
  7. I’m not a fan of writing facts about myself 😉

Educational Comics

Educational Comics? Can it be? YES!

I was looking at groups on LinkedIn that are centered around Comics and Art as a way to gain more insight into becoming successful at producing and sell my comics and artwork. I came across a link to a sight that was just too great to not share. This sight produces comic books that are entertaining and education. The best part, there is no charge for viewing. Clematis Painting

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAPainted using a combination of acrylic types to create this painting. Painted on 9×12 acrylic paper, which was glued to cardboard for stability. A picture from a landscaping magazine was used as reference for the flower structure and color shading.

Sorry, the photo isn’t the best and the camera flash is a bit too strong, I need to get some flood lights to take better photos.

Full Moon – 10/9/14

There was a full moon last night and it was just too pretty to not photograph. Yesterday morning was the Blood Moon, and I got up early to see that. Unfortunately, in my location it was really not that impressive, and totally not photogenic. And to be totally honest, I could just play around with the color settings in Picasa to make this photo look like the blood moon, but I won’t.
