The Artist’s Helper – update

I have been working diligently trying to get a functioning prototype going and I finally completed it yesterday. I was able to make the unit function appropriately, and it held the canvases perfectly. I still need to make some adjustments and investments before I can begin producing them. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If you are interested in purchasing one, please post a comment and I’ll contact you when they are available.

Here are some new pictures of The Artist’s Helper:

The Artist’s Helper – A multi-canvas device

Have you ever wanted to create beautiful multi-canvas paintings like these?

But when you thought about starting those projects you were daunted by the challenges of lining up the paintings correctly or possibly confused with how you will make sure the colors match correctly.

With The Artist’s Helper these challenges are gone, and creating a multi-canvas painting is as easy as any single-canvas painting you have ever created!

The Artist’s Helper is a unique support frame that adjusts to your needs and the size of your canvases. The device enables you to support multiple canvases simultaneously for the purpose of creating multiple artworks as one finished piece or a collection.Multi-Canvas Support

This patent pending device allows you to place almost any number of canvases in nearly any order or shape you can conceive. It holds the canvases with friction brackets from the reverse size of the canvas so you are free to use the entire surface of the canvas, including the edges; which is important when creating these types of artworks.

To use, you simply:

  • place your blank canvases face down on a surface, such as table or bench,
  • adjust The Artist’s Helper to the correct size
  • set The Artist’s Helper on top of the canvases
  • install friction brackets against inter stretcher frames of the canvas
  • lift and place The Artist’s Helper onto a support device, such as an easel
  • (The Artist’s Helper is invertible and has no top or bottom)

Here is an image from the rear of the canvas depicting how it is held into place by three friction-brackets.

The Artist’s Helper is patent pending, still in the pre-production phase, and is not currently available. I have created one prototype, but there are minor kinks that need to be worked out before I can begin producing them full scale.

Pricing is expected to be around $40 plus shipping. The device will initially be sold in one size, but larger and smaller versions will follow.  Add-on components will help increase the flexibility of the device.  The Artist’s Helper will likely be featured first on major websites, such as Amazon, EBay, and Etsy.

Please feel free to share this post and your thoughts on this product. This device will revolutionize the way that paintings are produce, and enable amateur artists the opportunity to create multi-canvas paintings without all the challenges of creating one piece at a time.

Stay tuned for updates as I continue to move forward on the production and distribution of The Artist’s Helper.
